Your workplace will be the among the stunning scenery of Otago and South Canterbury, from Oamaru to Queenstown, the Mackenzie country to Dunedin.

About the Role

As the Maintenance Operations Manager, you'll lead the operational delivery of all maintenance contracts in the Waitaki District, including the Waitaki District Road Maintenance Contract.

You'll oversee day-to-day operations, ensure contractual obligations are met, and will develop strong client relationships.

This is a key leadership role where you'll be responsible for driving performance, safety, and operational excellence across your teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and support teams across maintenance operations to achieve safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.

Manage financial performance, budgets, and reporting to ensure profitability and contract compliance.

Oversee contract delivery, tendering, and resource planning to meet time, cost, and quality expectations.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Champion health, safety, and wellbeing across all work sites.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within the business.

About You

You will be an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.

You'll bring :

Proven experience managing maintenance or roading contracts (NZS

Strong financial and operational management skills.

Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
