At our kura, relationships come first. We’re looking for a team leader who genuinely care about tamariki — someone who is patient, kind, and committed to building trust and belonging in the classroom, and who is passionate about our mokopuna and addressing inequity within our education system.
Our kura is guided by our three kete : Māramatanga, Manaakitanga, and Whanaungatanga. These values shape all that we do and reflect our commitment to caring for one another, learning with clarity, and nurturing strong, connected teams.
As a leader, you will model culturally responsive practice and empower others to do the same. We are proudly indigenising our curriculum to reflect the language, culture, and identity of our tamariki and their whānau. You will bring a willingness to learn te reo Māori and to uphold inclusive, mana-enhancing practices across your team.
Knowledge of a second language is an advantage — particularly te reo Māori or the languages of the peoples of the Pacific (such as Samoan or Cook Islands Māori) — as we continue to grow our bilingual education pathways. Experience with BSLA and DMIC approaches is also an advantage.
If you’re ready to lead, learn, and grow alongside us, we warmly invite you to visit and feel the wairua of our kura — our children thrive on it.
