This role is a 12 month fixed term maternity leave cover at our Rakaia store.
You will be providing sound farming product advice to our loyal customers and getting involved in aspects from merchandising to customer service.
You'll also assist with entry-level administrative tasks such as processing customer orders and invoices, updating product pricing and stock levels in our systems, maintaining tidy records, and supporting with end-of-day cash balancing and banking preparation.
This is a fast-paced role with opportunities to develop agricultural expertise and explore career pathways throughout the wider business.ResponsibilitiesProvide sound farming product advice to loyal customersEngage in merchandising and customer serviceAssist with entry-level administrative tasks : processing customer orders and invoices, updating pricing and stock levels, maintaining store records, and supporting end-of-day cash balancing and banking preparationSupport with general store operations to ensure a smooth customer experienceQualifications / About YouYou're self-motivated, adaptable, and have excellent customer service and communication skillsYou'll have a high level of physical fitness and be able to sustain repetitive manual handling (e.g., lifting up to 25 kg bags)Ideally you'll have prior customer service / sales experience and a connection to the agricultural industryWillingness to learn about the ag / dairy industry; open to those moving from farming or existing customer expertsRural experience is beneficial but not essentialA clean driver's licenseValid forklift license, or willingness to attain oneOur ValuesAt Fonterra, our values of Good Together, Better Every Day, and Every Drop Counts guide us in delivering exceptional outcomes for our farmers, customers, communities, and each other.
