The Clinical Research Coordinator ensures the effective and ethical management of multiple Liver Research Unit trials according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of pharmaceutical-sponsored Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials in liver cancer, viral hepatitis, fatty liver and rare indications such as Wilsons Disease and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis.

Working on cutting edge research and bringing treatment opportunities to patients makes the Liver Research Unit a highly rewarding and exciting place to work.After a supportive training orientation, you will be responsible for the set-up of new trials, ethics submissions and notifications, data management, quality assurance and financial management.The Liver Research Unit is part of the New Zealand Liver Transplant Unit.

The welcoming team consists of a Research Manager, Research Nurse Coordinator, six Research Nurses, three Research Coordinators, two Research Doctors, a Scientist and admin support.The successful applicant will have the following : You will hold a tertiary qualification in a science or health fieldExperience coordinating clinical trialsGood understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and knowledge in Liver diseasesPrevious experience complying with ICH-GCP and other regulatory guidelines, or study protocol and processesDemonstrate the ability to work in a multidisciplinary work environmentHighly developed work organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise competing demandsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and has proficiency in computer skills (MS Office)and manuscript preparation.We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland.
