For over 125 years, T&G Fresh has nourished generations of Kiwis with fresh fruit and vegetables.
We grow, pack, market, sell, distribute, import and export fresh produce from our own orchards and farms, as well as from over 700 Kiwi growers.

About the opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and capable Glasshouse Technician to join our Tomato Glasshouse team based in Reporoa.
This is a full-time permanent role with days of work being Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm, though flexibility is required to suit the business needs.
Responsibilities
Pest and disease control including spraying, following spray recipes to prepare the spray
Ensuring all spraying equipment is maintained and cleaned
Monitor the bee hives
General upkeep of keeping the glasshouse tidy
Undertake monthly stock takes and also manage any purchasing requirements
Monitoring of water tank levels and pH readings
Checking and Receipting of inwards goods
Follow all Health and Safety procedures
Operating a forklift and ensure team members are adhering to correct procedures when operating a forklift
This is a busy role encompassing other related duties, so a flexibility and a good attitude is what we need!
About you
You will have a keen interest in Horticulture and assist the Grower Manager with the day to day running of the site.
Being flexible to adapt to the job requirements and hours of work is key, and have a positive attitude with the eagerness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
You could be a landscaper, farm worker or have worked in a horticulture role previously.
A tertiary qualification in Horticulture (preferred) or relevant experience
Full Driver's license (essential)
An F endorsed forklift license with OSH certificate (preferred)
Competent using Word and Excel.
SAP knowledge (preferred)
Experience in handling hazardous substances
Team leadership with the ability to relate to and work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds
