About the Role
After aperiod of expansion, transition and growth, we are searching for experiencedQualified Anaesthetic Technicians / ODP's / RNAA's to come and join our team at Waitaha towork alongside us helping to deliver high-quality healthcare services to ourvalued tāngata whaiora. With permanent full-time, part-time and casual rolesavailable, we may just have what you are looking for.They sayvariety is the spice of life - At Health New Zealand, Waitaha, we work acrossmultiple sites (Christchurch Campus - Public, Women's, Waipapa and BurwoodHospital) which means no two days are the same. From obstetrics to trauma toECT to paediatrics, and everything in between; we are an acute and elective centre thatoffers it all. We support the new perioperativepractice degree and the registered nurse anaesthetic assistant (RNAA) training programmes;whether you like to teach or to learn, it is all on offer.In this role, you will be responsible for :
Provide professional, technical and clinical assistance to Anaesthetists
Provide safe administration of anaesthesia to patients
Anticipate problems and exceptional patient care
Co-ordinate documentation to ensure the patient receives effective care

About You
A recognised qualification within New Zealand or international equivalent
Registration with the Medical Sciences Council, New Zealand Nursing Organisation with the RNAA scope of practice, or eligibility to obtain
Strong interpersonal skills
Motivated to embrace challenges and change
Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori OR a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
