As our
Lead Advisor Tactical Asset Management
, you will provide technical expertise and leadership to ensure that we are continually improving and maturing asset management practices and performance across state highway assets and activities.
You'll lead the development and implementation of national tactical asset management plans, drive best practice across NZTA as well as leading specific asset management business improvement projects. Working closely with our internal teams and other technical subject matter experts, you'll collaborate on embedding and improving frameworks, processes and decision methods across disciplines to provide optimal transport outcomes.

Appointment base salary for the position is $190,000 to $220,000 commensurate to skills and experience. Along with our other benefits, we offer 5 weeks annual leave, and a Life, Income Protection and Critical-illness Insurance scheme available for all permanent employees.

Experienced at a Principal level, you are a technical subject matter expert of roading assets with in-depth knowledge of whole of life asset management best practice standards and processes. You are an adept communicator, possessing excellent relationship building skills capable of leading, influencing and building credibility with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, you will bring :
Extensive practical experience and knowledge of transport system planning, improvement, operation and maintenance from an asset management perspective.
Advanced asset data literacy with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Previous involvement in providing input into strategic issues and policies and placing them in an operational and practical context.
A comprehensive knowledge of the legislative frameworks and stakeholder roles and standards related to transport system asset management.
Desire to take on challenges and opportunities and problem-solving capabilities.
