Due to business expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced and passionate SMB Business Development Manager - NZ to join the Commercial Team of our System Business Group in Auckland, reporting to the Head of Commercial - NZ - SYS BG.
This SMB Business Development Manager will lead the growth within NZ's Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment for our Commercial Notebook / Desktop product line. The role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing channel partners, and driving revenue growth by promoting the adoption of our commercial notebook solutions within SMB accounts.
Key aspects of the role are including but not limited to :
- Drive sales and market share of ASUS commercial notebooks & desktops in the NZ SMB sector;
- Identify, target, and acquire new SMB customers and business opportunities;
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for SMB penetration;
- Build and manage strong relationships with distributors, resellers, and system integrators catering to SMB customers;
- Provide partners with product training, sales enablement, and incentives to grow SMB sales;
- Work closely with channel partners to generate qualified leads and close deals;
- Act as a trusted advisor to SMB customers, understanding their IT needs and challenges. Present and position commercial notebook / desktop solutions that align with customer requirements;
- Support customer evaluations, demos, and proof-of-concept activities;
- Develop quarterly business development plans aligned with revenue targets;
- Track and report on sales pipeline, forecasting, and market insights;
- Collaborate with marketing to execute campaigns targeting SMB customers.
Qualifications :
Tertiary qualificationsAt least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management (preferably in IT hardware or notebooks / commercial PC solutions)Strong understanding of SMB market dynamics, IT procurement behaviour and channel ecosystemExcellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilitiesStrong relationship-building with both partners and end customersAbility to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teamsResults-Oriented - proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targetsWillingness to travel for partner / customer meetings and eventsNew Zealand citizen or permanent resident with unlimited working rights within New Zealand, no overseas applicants.No recruitment agency please!An attractive package will be offered for the most suitable candidate and high performance will be rewarded accordingly.
