About the Role
We are seeking an Anatomical Pathologist to join the team at Health New Zealand, Te Tai Tokerau to provide a laboratory and consultative service in Anatomical Pathology.
This role offers a diverse and stimulating caseload, including a mix of general pathology, dermatopathology, gastrointestinal (GIT), urogenital, Head and Neck and breast pathology.
You'll also utilize your expertise with occasional frozen sections.
Subject to accreditation and service requirements the position may offer the optional engagement in performing coronial autopsies for career development.

About the Team / Location
Our established team of four pathologists provides comprehensive service coverage across the Northland region of New Zealand!
As well as a warm climate, the "winterless north" offers excellent schools; affordable housing and scenic coastal areas offering a range of recreational activities.
We are just a two hours' drive or 25-minute flight from the international hub of Auckland.

About you
To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in a Pathology Vocational scope of practice.
Ideally you will have completed a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent.
If you are currently overseas / not yet registered, we can assist you with the application process to obtain MCNZ registration.
