Thai Massage Therapists

Dee Dee Thai Massage is a privately owned and passionately run business in the heart of The Christchurch Arts Precinct, Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. We are looking for experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our team.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working in an authentic Thai Massage business, OR
• A related qualification (at NZ Register Certificate level 4 or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR
• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

Job Descriptions

Provide massage treatments : Administer professional-quality massages using traditional Thai Massage techniques to treat clients' health issues, relieve pain, and promote relaxation.

Assess and evaluate clients : Conduct initial consultations with clients to discuss their symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals. Evaluate their physical condition before and during a massage session to identify painful or tense areas of the body.

Develop treatment plans : Create tailored treatment plans based on a client's individual needs and preferences.

Maintain client records : Accurately document client conditions, progress, and services performed while ensuring confidentiality.

Provide wellness advice : Offer guidance to clients on stretching, relaxation techniques, and other self-care strategies to practice between sessions.

Prepare and clean : Ensure treatment rooms and workstations are clean, sanitised, and well-organised before and after each appointment. This includes managing linens, supplies, and equipment.
