Job description

Company Profile

A well-established New Zealand business investing heavily in data and reporting capabilities. Leadership understands the importance of actionable insights over basic reporting, with a collaborative culture that values outcomes over endless meetings. The organisation is growing steadily and needs someone to scale reporting capabilities in line with that growth.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Lead reporting strategy during a significant ERP implementation
  • Work directly with Finance and IS teams for faster decision-making
  • Architect solutions, not just maintain existing reports
  • Flexible, outcome-focused environment
  • Shape data accessibility and influence how the business makes decisions

The Opportunity

The business is mid-way through a large ERP implementation and needs someone to own the reporting architecture. This is not just about building reports; it’s about improving data flows and creating a future-proof reporting framework. Your work will directly impact how the organisation interprets and uses its data.

The Role

  • Design and optimise reporting architecture across financial systems during ERP implementation
  • Ensure data integrity and maintain strong security standards
  • Build dashboards and reports using Power BI, SSRS, and advanced Excel
  • Collaborate with Finance and IS teams to define accurate requirements
  • Champion best practices in data management and reporting
  • Support stakeholders through system changes and reporting enhancements
  • Your Fit

  • Experience in financial reporting or ERP-driven environments
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Skilled in building meaningful dashboards that deliver real insights
  • Comfortable working with complex data environments
  • Strong communication skills and able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive in identifying inefficiencies and driving improvements
  • We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
