Flexible & hybrid (3days a week from office; Tuesdays & Thursdays anchor days)

Auckland CBD based

Salary : 170k NZD + 15% bonus (negotiable for a good fit, open to talk)

Responsibilities

Leading and managing a team of software engineers to design and develop software solutions for the organisation (approximately anywhere between 15 to 18 developers which includes Senior devs and contractors) reporting to the Head of Platform.

Establish clear accountabilities for direct reports and build a strong culture of individual accountability and performance to ensure delivery of business goals.

Provide technical direction, leadership and coaching to direct reports.

Promote excellence through the attraction, continual development, and retention of high quality workforce with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to deliver excellent outcomes and improved customer outcomes.

Own the roadmap and backlog for platform enhancements, in collaboration with the Head of Platforms, architects, and business stakeholders.

Responsible for the reliability, performance, security, compliance and scalability of assigned core technology platforms and ensure all audit actions are managed.

Work closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Testing and Infrastructure teams to deliver outcomes.

Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders relying on assigned platform services.

Qualifications

Experience as a Technical Lead / Team Lead / Software Development Manager / Lead platform / Chapter Lead / Practice Lead / Engineering manager / Principal Engineer .

A Team lead who can think and bring ideas and best practices on the table along with proven examples of their capability to uplift their team members.

(non negotiable)

Tech Stack : C# .

NET & AZURE (non negotiable).

Orchestrated AZURE cloud migrations and established Azure DevOps CI / CD pipe (non negotiable)

Azure Cloud hosting experience, CICD setting up best practices, Azure DevSecOps, Improving DEPLOYMNET frequency and operational efficiency (important)

Showcasing examples for driving and leading PLATFORM STARTEGY and ENTERPRISE ENGINEERING STANDARDS.

Proven experience managing the lifecycle of enterprise platforms or applications.

Proven experience in technical decision making and stakeholder engagement

Should be based in Auckland or be able to relocate to Auckland (3days from office – Tuesdays & Thursdays mandatory).

Insurance, Banking, Financial Domain (preferred but not mandatory).
