The Salvation Army Bridge Centres exists to provide safe, integrated, high-quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or substance use.

The Salvation Army Bridge Programme currently has vacancies for suitably qualified and experienced Residential Support workers.
Some versatility will be required in terms of the variable hours, but they are for predominantly nighttime hours including weekend nights.
The applicant should have experience in support work in an addiction or mental health setting and / or hold or be willing to undertake the National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work Level 4.
The ability to work in a culturally appropriate and safe manner with Maori and Pacific peoples is essential as is a full / clean driver's license.
What will your responsibilities be :
To provide a supportive and safe environment for clients within residential housing.
Uphold The Salvation Army's Mission and Christian ethos.
Value and respect the individuality, dignity and privacy of each client of the Bridge Programme.
Preserve confidentiality of clients' personal information.
Maintain good communication with clients, family / whanau, and other team members.
Committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi as they apply to The Salvation Army Bridge Programme.

Hours of work :
Casual as required by roster.
A typical shift will be 8 hours, and mainly night shifts (all awake shifts) and weekend work.
