• About the Role
• As a Pharmacy Technician / Trainee, you will support and provide a safe, accurate and timely medication management service to staff and patients of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora hospitals in Te Tai Tokerau.Regular tasks include :
• Provision of a dispensary and medication supply service within both the hospital dispensary and cancer and blood service
• Service development and quality improvement work
• Supporting the service with general clerical duties including filing and data entryto view the position description.
• About the Team / Service / Location
• We currently have an opportunity for a permanent qualified Level 5 Pharmacy Technician or Trainee Pharmacy Technician to join our team. You will work alongside a dynamic and supportive team, with an interesting and wide variety of work to keep you engaged and motivated.This role is based in Whangarei Hospital, working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus regular participation in our Saturday and statutory holiday roster.For more information on living and working in Northland, click
• About you
• As a Pharmacy Technician or Trainee Pharmacy Technician, you will have an ability to receive and act upon instructions with a high degree of accuracy and quality. You should also have proven written and verbal communication skills and be able to work flexibly and unsupervised within clear guidelines.
• Holder of a National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician) Level 5 or is enrolled and working towards this qualification (Trainee Pharmacy Technician)
• NCEA Education Level 2
• Experience in being part of a team environment and a key contributor to a successful team
• Full New Zealand Drivers Licence
• Physically fit
• Candidates that have sound computer skills, previous pharmacy experience or knowledge and experience of hospital pharmacy are desired.
