• Permanent, full-time role (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week), Monday to Friday day hours
• Salary band - $114,025 - $121,444 p.a pro-rata and KiwiSaver

• About the role
• Support surgery to patients of all ages through a wide range of surgical specialties ranging from Dental, ENT, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Orthopaedic, Plastics, Urology and Paediatrics.
• Our Day Surgery Unit is a one-stop shop. In this role you will :
• coordinate and facilitate the smooth transitioning of both elective and acute patients through the day surgery theatres
• care for patients right across the continuum of care from preadmissions through to discharge
• accommodate patients admitted for a variety of non-theatre procedures
• operate in a small cohesive team of supportive and friendly health professionals
• initiate and participate in quality improvement activities
• embrace technological advancements
• contribute to the new Dunedin Hospital planning and transition
• create solutions to problems in a responsive manner

• About you
• You will have :
• New Zealand Nursing registration with a current APC
• proven leadership experience
• a strong vision for day surgery
• airway management skills (desirable but not essential).

• Salary range
• This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the DSN Pay Scale, between $114,025 and $121,444 p.a dependent on relevant experience.
