We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing site on a dedicated afternoon / night shift.
This role is critical to ensuring our equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, enabling safe, efficient, and compliant production.With a strong mechanical aptitude, a background in preventative maintenance and fault finding, youll play a key role in minimising downtime, improving machine performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
While technical expertise is essential, were also looking for someone who thrives in a team environment, collaborating with others, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive and productive workplace culture.In this role, you will report directly to the Maintenance Lead, working closely with the Production and Quality teams to ensure plant reliability and performance are consistently optimised.Key ResponsibilitiesPerforming reactive and preventative maintenance across all plant equipment and machinerySupporting capital projects and contributing to operational improvementsConducting mechanical fault finding and repairs, including pneumatic systemsEnsuring changeover repeatability and developing equipment setup protocolsMaintaining accurate documentation, including downtime logs and stock take recordsUpdating and managing the preventative maintenance system (MEX)Supporting the development and rollout of SOPs and other process documentationPromoting food safety and quality standards across all maintenance activitiesCollaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement efficiency improvementsChampioning health and safety practices throughout the siteFlexibility to work alternate Saturday shifts when requiredQualificationsWho are you?
A recognised Trade Qualification (Mechanical Engineering Level 4 manufacturing / industrial)Maintenance experience in FMCG or similar environmentsStrong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of GMP, food safety, and quality systemsComputer literacy (Word, Excel, MEX - preferred)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamInitiative, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to improvementFamiliarity with basic electrical systems or controls would be a plusValid Unrestricted Work VisaAdditional InformationWhats in it for you?
