Wharf Ambassador

Council and the community want to ensure all Whangamata and Whitianga wharf users have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Each year, over the summer and busy holiday period, we have a team of Wharf Ambassadors to guide wharf users and help everyone get the most use out of the designated areas on the wharfs.

If you are interested in joining the team in this paid role for the 25 / 26 summer season, then get in touch.

You will need to :

• have a strong safety awareness
• be confident in interacting with all ages
• have excellent people skills
• be confident in an around the water
• able to pass a full police check
• a current first aid certificate or be ready to get one
