We are currently seeking a part-time Night Porter to be responsible for the overnight functions of the Lodge, for 2 or 3 nights per week.
What you will do :
Reporting to the Front Office Manager you will have responsibility for security at the hotel overnight.
Cleaning public areas (sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures and fittings).
Removing rubbish and recycling.
Cleaning fireplaces.
Maintaining kitchens, washing dishes and cooking utensils, and cleaning appliances, cupboards, counters, pantries, and floors.
Attending to any late-night guest requests; preparing and cooking meals, and serving food and beverages.
Welcoming late-night or early-morning guests, answering telephones, delivering messages.
Responding to any emergencies.
Patrolling the lodge and grounds.
What you will bring :
A self-starter with a strong customer focus, honest, responsible and capable of working unsupervised.
A passion for service delivery and the hospitality industry.
Some experience in a similar role.
Excellent presentation and strong communication skills.
A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
Flexibility and maturity in approach.
A recent First Aid certificate.
Reliability and honesty (this position demands a high level of trust and responsibility).
