Overview

Position : Chemist – Contract, Remote at Mercor

Commitment : 10-20 hours per week. Fully remote and asynchronous collaboration on a cutting-edge project with frontier large language models. Craft high-quality, challenging problems in Chemistry with real-world applicability.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate asynchronously with a team of highly qualified experts across your domain.
  • Craft, solve, and review challenging problems with real-world applicability.
  • Work fully remote and asynchronously to meet project deadlines.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI model performance through domain expertise.
  • Inform the future of AI innovation with your Chemistry expertise.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in Chemistry from a top US university
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent proficiency in English
  • Based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI-generated content and model outputs in Chemistry

  • Compensation : $65-75 / hour
  • Contract Type : Hourly contractor
  • Schedule : 10-20 hours per week, fully remote
  • Payment : Weekly via Stripe Connect
  • Start Date : Late September
