Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking an enthusiastic and capable kaiako to join the team at Mairtown Kindergarten, Whangārei. This position will commence on 7 January 2026 .

The kindergarten has a team of five teachers and a part‑time administrator. It operates five 6‑hour sessions, Monday to Friday, catering for 40 children aged between two and six years, and follows an All‑Year Programme.
Mairtown Kindergarten is one of 25 kindergartens within the wider NKA network and is supported by strong professional practice and management teams. NKA adheres to the employment conditions outlined in the Kindergarten Teachers’, Head Teachers’, and Senior Teachers’ Collective Agreement 2023–2026 .
Applicants must hold a New Zealand‑recognised ECE qualification (minimum Diploma of Teaching ECE), a current practising certificate, and a current first aid certificate.
Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand, at the time of submitting their application.
