Assistant Lead Engineer - Database Activity Monitoring (Central Infra Services)

Position OverviewThe Assistant Lead Engineer will collaborate with a team of engineers to support the Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) System.

This role involves ensuring the DAM operations run smoothly, maintaining its health, ensuring high availability, and adhering to service level agreements and security policies.Role & ResponsibilitiesExecute Database Monitoring Administration Service LevelsImplement infrastructure and support for data security monitoringConduct database security monitoring and auditingMonitor security alerts and collaborate with clients to ensure effective policy implementationManage database monitoring reportsMaintain regular communication with clients to ensure database integrity and securityExhibit strong analytical skillsCollaborate with clients to understand their requirements and address their data security monitoring needs and use casesConduct regular reviews of policies with clientsIdentify and mitigate vulnerabilities within the DAM systemConfigure security policiesAdvise on Database Monitoring CapabilitiesProvide guidance to clients on database monitoring concepts and functional capabilitiesOffer technical advice to the clients regarding the installation, setup, and configuration of database monitoringAnalyze internal or external business issues and recommend solutions or best practicesEngage in research initiatives aimed at developing advanced and automated approaches for database monitoringOptimize Database MonitoringEnhance the delivery of database monitoring with a focus on availability, reliability, scalability, and securityDevelop automated processes to define, measure, and report on service quality, stability, and capacityResolve IssuesOversee the assessment of risks associated with database monitoringAddress complex issues effectively.Provide escalation support for client-reported issuesCollaborate with diverse and dynamic teams to resolve challengesRequirementsBachelor in any IT equivalent (Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology)At least 3-5 years of experience in the relevant fieldProficient in understanding the role of Database Activity Monitoring within security frameworks and familiar with data security principlesIn-depth technical expertise in various database systems, including Microsoft SQL, Oracle, SAP HANA, and MongoDBSolid understanding of server platforms such as Windows, UNIX, and LinuxHaving the following technical certifications is a plus : Database certification Security-related certificationStrong communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levelsRobust skills in vendor management, service level agreements, and project management
