We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to deliver a safe, seamless, and positive experience for everyone who engages with our Sport and Recreation facilities, at our new state-of-the-art Recreation Centre, Hiwa.
You'll focus on the systems and processes that support the customer journey, from managing bookings processes and accounts receivable to keeping facility and asset management plans on track.
You'll make sure our technology and booking platforms are reliable and easy to use, provide accurate and timely communications, and work closely with contractors and suppliers to maintain high standards across our facilities.
You'll contribute to the daily operations of our Sport & Recreation Centre, collaborating closely with the broader Sport and Recreation team.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate operations to deliver a safe, seamless, and positive experience for all users of Sport & Recreation facilities.Manage bookings processes and accounts receivable; support facility and asset management plans.Ensure technology and booking platforms are reliable and user-friendly; provide accurate, timely communications.Work with contractors and suppliers to maintain high standards across facilities.Contribute to daily operations of the Sport & Recreation Centre in collaboration with the broader team.Role DetailsContract type : Fixed term, 37.5 hours per week, full-time for 12 months.Band E within the University pay structure; salary range $62,400 - $77,800 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.Qualifications and ExperienceAt least three years' experience in administration or operations coordination, ideally within a recreation, fitness, or customer service environment.Highly organized and detail-focused; capable of managing processes, payments, and accounts receivable.Strong problem-solving skills; ability to adapt quickly to new systems; proactive approach to service improvement.Additional InformationDue to the nature of the role, successful candidates must complete Police Vetting clearance checks.The University is committed to providing an excellent working environment with flexible employment practices, gym membership, superannuation, five weeks' annual leave, career development programs, discounted car parking, parental leave, and childcare support and discounts.Applications must be submitted online by the closing date : Wednesday 1 October 2025 (NZST).
