About the Role
As a Public Health Nurse, you will make a meaningful difference by working closely with school communities and partnering with whānau in their homes to strengthen health outcomes and ensure equitable access to care. Your work will extend across the community, delivering services that promote wellbeing and empower people to live healthier lives.

Our Public Health Nursing team is part of the National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora. Together, we are committed to achieving Pae Ora – healthy futures for all – by addressing the wider determinants of health and supporting oranga / wellbeing across communities. We focus on prevention, protection, and population-level interventions, working collaboratively to ensure services are nationally planned for consistency and equity, regionally delivered to reflect diverse needs, and locally tailored to best support individual communities. By connecting across boundaries, we deliver public health services that make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
About you
We're looking for a Registered Nurse who brings :
Preferred : paediatric / public health nursing experience, authorised vaccinator status.
