About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Line Mechanic and / or Cable Jointer who can deliver projects to a high standard, work well within the team and bring a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead field staff onsite and coordinate resources to safely deliver project work to Powerco standards
• Receive project handovers from Delivery and Resource Managers and contribute to project planning
• Carry out maintenance and asset replacement on overhead and underground distribution network assets
• Install underground reticulation, cables, transformers, and switchgear
• Replace poles and crossarms on the local network
• Perform and document electrical testing in accordance with Electrical Regulations and Codes of Practice
• Complete jobs within allocated labour hours and materials
• Assist in training apprentices / trainee Line Mechanics
• Build strong working relationships with apprentices and team members
• Communicate proactively about any issues impacting project delivery or health and safety
