Are you a results-driven HR professional with experiencenavigating complex Employee Relations challenges? Restaurant Brands NZ Ltd (KFC, Carl’s Jr., Pizza Hut and Taco Bell) is looking for a talented HR Business Partner to support our fast-paced business.

The Role :

As an HRBP, you will be a trusted partner to Restaurant and Area Managers and provide HR leadership across a range of functions, with a particular focus on tackling complex ER issues. You’ll manage and resolve employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice, driving a positive and high-performing culture. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a large and growing business.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide operational HR support across a large, multi-site operation.
  • Advise on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent handling.
  • Manage grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management processes.
  • Coach and mentor line managers in effective HR practices and policies.
  • Implement and improve HR policies and procedures across the business.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive cultural transformation and improve employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and company policies.
  • Provide advice and support as required for restructures and change management.
  • Deliver training on HR processes, employee relations, and conflict resolution.

About You :

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, with a strong background in Employee Relations within a large, fast-paced environment, preferably in a unionised QSR or retail setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience of working with unions.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data-driven HR management.
  • Ability to do some evening and weekend work to support the field, as well as being able to travel to NZ locations as required.
