What We Offer

  • Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7 : 00am and 5 : 00pm in Hamilton

What You Bring

  • Solid management experience in an operation role within the Transport / Logistics industry
  • Previous experience in route planning and fleet management
  • Previous experience within a sales or account management background
  • Experience with FME, Power BI reporting, E-road system
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong professional communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office suite, and confident using Excel
  • Responsibilities

  • Lead your Branch to safely deliver its profit and service commitments, ensuring resources are matched to revenue and budgeted profit is achieved while delivering customer service levels
  • Participate in national improvement initiatives and demonstrate leadership and teamwork across the Fliway Group
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality and safety through materials handling equipment and automation
  • Maintain agreed performance levels for all customers
  • Develop new customers in conjunction with Sales
  • Complete Claims Investigations and sign-off of Missing Freight Reports
  • Ensure all pickups, deliveries, customer collections and operational activities follow safe work practices; promote Health and Safety
  • Organise and facilitate team meetings and toolbox sessions; ensure strong branch communication
  • Assess personal development requirements of key roles and people
  • Build team engagement and reduce turnover through active management of branch culture, in conjunction with H&S, HR and national initiatives
  • Deliver on the budgeted profit and prepare the annual branch budget
  • Maximise revenue through correct charging, revenue initiatives, training and ongoing monitoring of revenues and billing
  • Weekly review and analysis of financial reports; validate correctness and take corrective action as needed
  • Ensure branch delivers defined KPIs and maintains legal compliance, safety, well-being and support of staff
  • Implement and monitor performance management principles at branch level
  • Seek improvements in service, cost and operations; implement where agreed
  • Plan, recommend, implement and monitor learning and development initiatives
  • Any other duties as requested by management
