Job description

Location : Canterbury | Hours : 30 hours / week | Roster : 24 / 7, including weekends, AM, PM, and awake night shifts.

Salary : $23.50 – $28.59 per hour (based on qualifications).

About the Role

  • Promote self-advocacy, independence, participation, and choice .
  • Support people to achieve their goals and connect with family, friends, and community.
  • Assist with daily personal needs and household activities.
  • Encourage inclusion and uphold dignity and respect in all interactions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Full, clean, and current NZ driver’s licence.
  • Flexibility to work AM, PM, and awake night shifts.
  • Experience or knowledge of intellectual disability and / or autism (advantageous but not essential).
  • NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 3 or higher) — or willingness to complete.
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to supporting Māori.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
  • Police Check required.
