World class professors offer a cutting-edge academic programme supported by internationally benchmarked facilities.The role | Te mahiAs a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of a small team covering technical support for teaching, research and external engagement in the School of Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Sciences.You will be involved in providing technical services for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research in areas such as exercise physiology, biomechanics and motor learning.Key tasks include : Setup of equipment for labs and supporting during more complex labs, including running of equipment when required.Ensuring sufficient consumable items are available for each laboratory cycle.Helping with delivery of whanau labs with a whakawhanaukataka student focus.Providing technical support for Postgraduate research.Involvement in commercial exercise testing services as well as tours and lab experiences for High School student groups.The role requires you to maintain safety standards for use of Laboratory equipment and experimental techniques as well as regular maintenance of equipment.This is a varied and broad technical role that allows for opportunities for the right candidate who wishes to expand their skillset in a dynamic work environment.
