  • About the Role
  • This is an opportunity to create and shape some of the most critical, complex, and system-level infrastructure in the country – bringing all our hospitals and facilities up to a high standard and ensuring health equity for all New Zealanders.We are looking for Senior Advisors who think critically, write clearly, and enjoy the mental challenge of solving important and complex problems. Policy analysts are strongly encouraged to apply : we're all about making robust and evidence-based arguments for some of New Zealand's largest and most interesting investment decisions.You'll work with internal teams and external partners to gather information, lead workshops, and prepare documentation that meets Treasury and Health NZ standards. You'll also help improve our processes and tools, contribute to assurance reviews, and support others across the organisation to build capability in investment planning.If you enjoy working with detail, helping shape big decisions, and supporting projects that make a real difference, this could be the role for you.
  • About the Team / Service / Location
  • Giving support, oversight and assurance across projects and programmes, the team understand that safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders.
  • About you
  • You enjoy working with structure and detail. You've got experience writing business cases or policy advice, and you're comfortable working with senior leaders and external agencies. You're organised, clear in your communication, and able to manage competing priorities.You're someone who is agile, curious, able to deal with complexity, and you're willing to share your knowledge and expertise to support the growth of the team.You know how to ask the right questions, bring people together, and produce work that's accurate, well-reasoned, and useful to decision-makers.And you're passionate about contributing to meaningful work that improves outcomes for communities across Aotearoa.
  • You will have :
  • Experience with the Treasury Better Business Case framework
  • Background in business case or policy development
  • Understanding of public sector investment and governance
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to lead workshops and work with a range of stakeholders
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Confidence working independently and managing deadlines
  • Solid relationship-building skills
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (preferred)
  • Experience in the health sector (a bonus)
