Legal Secretary

Are you an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in litigation? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for supporting legal professionals?

Position: Temporary Litigation Secretary (6 weeks)
Location: Outskirts of Auckland Central
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Assignment length: Starting on the 24th of June for 6 weeks potentially longer and potential to go permanent
How to get there: Street parking and nearby bus services available
Hourly Rate: $35 - $39 + 8% holiday pay


About the Role: Join a dynamic legal team, supporting two partners and three lawyers in a busy litigation practice. Your role will involve:

• Managing court documents and electronic case books
• Handling phone calls from clients regarding their immigration needs
• Assisting with reporting and billing tasks
• Providing occasional support to independent lawyers with various tasks

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a legal secretary in a litigation setting
• Familiarity with billing processes and court document management
• Exposure to immigration law is highly desirable
• Ability to pick up tasks easily and work independently
• Proactive and willing to jump in and help wherever needed
