Job description

Are you an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in litigation? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for supporting legal professionals?

Position : Temporary Litigation Secretary (6 weeks)

Location : Outskirts of Auckland Central

Hours : 8 : 30am – 5 : 00pm (40 hours per week)

Assignment length : Starting on the 24th of June for 6 weeks potentially longer and potential to go permanent

How to get there : Street parking and nearby bus services available

Hourly Rate : $35 - $39 + 8% holiday pay

About the Role : Join a dynamic legal team, supporting two partners and three lawyers in a busy litigation practice. Your role will involve :

Managing court documents and electronic case books
Handling phone calls from clients regarding their immigration needs
Assisting with reporting and billing tasks
Providing occasional support to independent lawyers with various tasks

Key Requirements :

Proven experience as a legal secretary in a litigation setting

Familiarity with billing processes and court document management

Exposure to immigration law is highly desirable

Ability to pick up tasks easily and work independently

Proactive and willing to jump in and help wherever needed
