We are seeking dedicated and customer-focused Sales Assistants to join our team.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of the store while delivering outstanding customer service.
Your responsibilities will include store maintenance, stock management, merchandising, and assisting with sales, all contributing to the overall success of our business.Key Responsibilities :
Customer Assistance : Assist customers with their purchases, provide product recommendations, and ensure a high level of satisfaction by offering friendly, professional service.
Product Labelling & Pricing : Label goods accurately and ensure that pricing is correctly displayed on all items.
Store Maintenance & Merchandising : Ensure the store is maintained in excellent condition, upholding high visual merchandising standards.
Supplier Relations : Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring smooth stock flow and effective communication.
Operational Support : Assist in managing budgets, financial resources, and staff when required.
Participate in opening and closing the store, including performing security checks as necessary.
Team Collaboration : Work independently and as part of a team to ensure store operations run smoothly and effectively.
Proactively identify and initiate contact with potential new retail clients via phone or email (cold / warm calling / emailing) to support business development efforts.
Assist the Sales & Account Managers with daily administrative tasks, including data entry into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, filing, and managing correspondence.
Prepare, process, and track customer orders and sample requests, coordinating closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely dispatch and consignment organisation.
Maintain the New Lynn showroom, ensuring all apparel lines are immaculately presented, organised, and ready for client meetings and presentations.
This includes setting up new collections and packing down old ones.
Compile basic market feedback from trade publications or online resources to support sales strategy development.
Handle basic incoming client queries via phone and email, directing them to the appropriate Account Manager as needed.
Skills & Experience :
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a similar role is an advantage but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, positive attitude with a commitment to excellence.
Calm and professional demeanor, particularly in high-pressure situations.
