We're currently seeking a compassionate and motivated individual to provide 1 : 1 support to a young person in a bespoke youth residential setting.
You'll be working alongside them to build a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where they can truly thrive.
The young person enjoys spending time outdoors—gardening, fishing, biking—as well as building / DIY projects, cooking, and caring for animals.

Your days may vary, but will consist of : Engaging with clients Setting and achieving individual personal goals Encouraging client participation in day to day life Supporting them with activities of daily living Ensuring support with medication and considering client needs Supporting clients with personal hygiene Activities within the community Supporting social and whanau connection Motivating clients to know they have purpose Ensuring client processes are accurately documented Most importantly supporting them to have fun and live fulfilling lives As we operate 24 / 7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend and sleepover shifts.
Desired Skills and Experience What you'll bring Our West Coast team is looking for someone with : A love for the outdoors and someone physically fit Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A positive and proactive attitude with a calm approach in challenging situations A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed A full driver's licence and basic computer skills A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 4 Mental Health) — or willingness to work toward one once you're on board The right to work in New Zealand What will Pact offer you?
