About the role
Opihi College is seeking a caring, confident Y7–8 homeroom teacher for a 12-month fixed-term role starting term 1, 2026.
You’ll teach a broad Y7–8 programme, and help students build the confidence and readiness they need before stepping into secondary learning.
This role would suit a primary teacher ready to step into the upper-middle years, or someone who enjoys working with early adolescents. You’ll support core learning, take on elements of structured literacy or numeracy, and create a calm, settled environment built on strong relationships.
