About the Role

No two days are the same in General Medicine. This role offers a dynamic mix of inpatient ward care, outpatient clinics at our ambulatory centre, and participation in the on-call roster. We have multiple positions available and welcome applicants with subspecialty interests—particularly in Stroke, Neurology, or Geriatric Medicine.

You’ll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team alongside cardiologists, oncologists, gastroenterologists, and more. Te Whatu Ora Lakes has a proud tradition of training registrars, house officers, and medical students, fostering a supportive and rewarding professional environment.

This hospital is part of the District Health Board and has a total of 220 beds.

Location Information

The hospital is a 3-hour drive from Auckland, and 5.5 hours from Wellington.
