Overview

Silver Fern Farms Waitōtara is one of our smaller Processing Sites, with 280+ Team Members at the height of the season. Located 30 minutes north of Whanganui and 45 minutes south of Hāwera, and easily accessible via State Highway 3, the site is part of the relaxed close-knit coastal town of Waitōtara. If you’re ready to start earning and learning your way to a bright future we have various opportunities on offer, starting with entry-level jobs needing no experience, which can lead to career development opportunities into quality control, health and safety, leadership and beyond.

Te Mahi, Our Working Arrangements

  • Complete your on-the-job training and earn a minimum $28.82 / hr plus extras.
  • Usually, 40 hours per week during peak production season, plus overtime opportunities.
  • Minimum $43 / hr production overtime rate.
  • Hour hours or work from : 6.20am to 3.20pm, 8am to 4.30pm and 4pm to 1am. All shifts may require pre-op & or post-op time of 30 minutes.
  • All work clothing and safety gear is provided.

  • No experience? No problem, we provide all the training you need.
  • You’re an active team member who attends work daily, can work closely with others, and brings a positive, hardworking attitude.
  • Able to understand and follow health and safety, quality, and technical compliance requirements.
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand.
  • Must be 18 years or older to meet role requirements.
  • Able to pass our pre-employment medical checks, criminal convictions check, and physical fitness requirements.
