About the Butcher Role
At our busy Supermarket, the Butchery isn’t just a department – it’s the beating (and occasionally sizzling) heart of the store. Your key focus will be crafting beautiful cuts that make customers go ‘oooh’, keeping the cabinets looking sharp (just like your knives!), interacting with customers and team members with a friendly, down‑to‑earth Kiwi charm, maintaining top‑notch Food Safety and Hygiene standards, and working with a team that knows how to work hard and have fun.
Qualifications & Skills
You will need to bring a recognized butchery qualification, skill, speed and an eye for detail, a love of quality meats and great customer service, a willingness to jump into a fast‑moving environment, as well as a positive attitude and good banter.
Working Hours & Compensation
This is a 40‑hour per week position from Tuesday to Saturday. Ideally the start times will be 5.00 am to 1.30 pm or earlier if you’re that quick. We offer a competitive hourly rate and a friendly modern environment, along with a strong team atmosphere.
