About the Role
Taiao Ora | Ward 51 integrates hyper-acute stroke, acute stroke, neurology, inpatient stroke rehabilitation and adult rehabilitation on one ward.
- As the sole psychologist in the team, you will;
- Support the adjustment and rehabilitation of patient and their whanau following a variety of physical health conditions, including stroke and neurological condition
- Undertake comprehensive psychological assessment and outcome-focused Innovative care, applying evidence-based practice, interventions and education.
- Contribute collaboratively to our interdisciplinary team
- Undertake cognitive and neuropsychological assessments and interventions as appropriate for your skill-set
- Contribute to quality and service improvements and development of team members

About you
To be successful, you must have :
- New Zealand registration Psychologist and have a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a physical health, medical or rehabilitation setting
- Demonstrated an ability to work effectively in an inter-disciplinary team.
