Role Overview

As an Apprentice Body Repair Technician (Panel Beater), you will be part of a team delivering exceptional service to Tesla Body Repair customers.

This hands-on technical role offers learning opportunities from experienced Tesla technicians and exposure to innovative electric vehicles.

During your apprenticeship, you will undergo intensive EV and body repair training, gaining skills and a nationally recognized qualification for a career with Tesla's Body Shops.

The program includes practical training, assessments, and eLearning modules accessible on any device.

This apprenticeship prepares you to repair, replace, and refit non-structural vehicle panels damaged in collisions, with options to include structural repair qualifications for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities

Work collaboratively to meet daily goals

Complete Tesla-specific training

Learn about Tesla products, body repair systems, and procedures

Maintain workshop standards

Keep records of time, expenses, and materials

Perform basic body repairs under supervision

Ensure vehicles and the repair center are clean and organized

Candidate Requirements

Year 12 completion

Eligibility for MITO training

Valid driver's license

Fluent in English

Interest in electronics and technology

Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management skills

Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently

Adaptability to shifting priorities and deadlines

Enthusiastic team player with a proactive attitude

Willingness to think creatively and handle high-pressure situations

Self-aware, flexible, and open-minded

Hands-on problem-solving skills and customer service mindset

Ability to use manual tools safely

Commitment to workplace safety
