Diesel Mechanic

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Christchurch. This role covers diagnostics, repairs, and servicing across a wide range of diesel engines, trucks, heavy vehicles, and machinery. You’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, reliable performance and delivering high-quality workmanship within a well-equipped workshop.

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnosing faults and mechanical issues across diesel trucks, heavy vehicles, and machinery
• Performing routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and safety checks
• Carrying out engine overhauls, hydraulic repairs, drivetrain and transmission work
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify issues and carry out efficient repairs
• Completing accurate job cards, reporting defects, and recommending further repairs
• Ensuring all repairs meet compliance, safety, and quality standards
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
• Working closely with the team to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
