Overview

We are seeking a Edger Operator to join our Tupuna Maunga Authority Team!

Reporting to the Team Manager and working closely alongside one of our talented Gardeners, you will be responsible for general green space maintenance across multiple Tupuna Maunga o Tamaki Makaurau (Ancestral Mountains / volcanoes of Auckland) sites.

While your role is primarily mowing and edging, you will also be involved in helping the team with planting, weeding, and spraying, whilst making sure things are kept safe for the public, your team, and yourself.

Responsibilities

Carry out mowing and edging duties as part of general green space maintenance across multiple sites.

Assist with planting, weeding, and spraying as required.

Help ensure safety for the public, the team, and yourself.

Qualifications and success factors

A current, full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle

A willingness to accept responsibility and ownership of jobs whilst working as part of a wider team - helping out your teammates needs to be second nature

Fit and able to undertake and complete the physical tasks

Have knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to the job

Excellent relationship building and communication skills
