About us
Conservation Volunteers New Zealand (CVNZ) not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the protection and restoration of Te Taiao (the environment) in Aotearoa.
With offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, each year we engage thousands of volunteers and participants in conservation work across the motu. Together, we have planted more than 2 million native trees, cleared over 800 hectares of invasive weeds, removed 14,000 kg of rubbish, supported predator control and species monitoring, and helped hundreds of people move into full‑time employment through our training and work programmes.
By joining the CVNZ team, you’ll be contributing directly to this mahi — restoring ecosystems, strengthening communities, and helping Papatūānuku thrive.
Regional Manager, Wellington
We are seeking a motivated, strategic, and community‑minded Regional Manager to oversee our Wellington operations. You’ll lead the delivery of CVNZ programmes in the region — from volunteer engagement to large‑scale restoration projects — while nurturing strong relationships with government agencies, iwi, corporate partners, and community organisations.
Your role will blend operational management, people leadership, business development, project oversight, and community engagement. You’ll work closely with the National Operations Manager to plan and deliver regional programmes, secure new opportunities, manage budgets, and support your team to succeed.
If you thrive in a role where no two days are the same — balancing strategic planning with practical field‑based work — this is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference.
