About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic Network Engineering team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering key projects by providing technical project administration.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating with schools, regional councils, and our engineering team to facilitate ongoing design work, document necessary processes, and coordinate with stakeholders on complex designs.
What you will be doing
Support the Network Engineering Team in delivering complex network designs.
Gather and document ICT infrastructure details from various stakeholders.
Work closely with stakeholders to obtain critical information about network infrastructure, including connectivity and building layouts.
Assist in creating audit schedules, ensuring milestones, deadlines, and estimates are met.
Ensure that documentation and processes are adhered to according to company governance standards.
Collaborate with Network Engineers to mitigate potential project roadblocks.
Provide timely status updates and ensure projects are formally closed with comprehensive Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) where appropriate.
Work alongside the Ministry of Education to ensure optimal outcomes for school network designs.
Travel across New Zealand for school audits and installation quality checks
What you will need to be successful
5+ years of local experience in IT / Telecom site audits, particularly in school settings.
Strong knowledge of structured cabling and backbone connectivity.
Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal managerial oversight.
Proficiency in AUTOCAD, Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce is highly desirable.
Relevant health and safety qualification and experience is mandatory.
