Loss Prevention Manager - Farmers Whangarei
The Loss Prevention Manager role within our stores is a KEY position that will see you lead the store's Loss Prevention programme.
It is all about having an exceptional Loss Prevention team dedicated to implementing our core loss prevention strategies.
The role focuses on reducing risk by managing a customer service-oriented store culture.
Day-to-day responsibilities include completing action plans, implementing safe work practices, adhering to Health and Safety standards, uncovering internal theft, implementing theft prevention strategies, and collaborating with store management to identify high-risk areas.
Key responsibilities :
Ensuring the store premises and contents are secure, minimizing stock loss
Maintaining security systems
Developing effective loss prevention programmes to deter customer theft
Preventing internal theft through effective processes
Assisting managers and regional LP controllers with investigations
Managing loss prevention associates
You will identify areas for improvement and foster a loss prevention culture within your team and the wider store team.
What you'll need :
Proven experience in loss prevention management and / or retail operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of industry trends and corrective action implementation
Ability to work independently
Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
Retail leadership experience is preferred, as this role involves leading from the front rather than surveillance alone

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, with weekend work required as part of the management roster.
