Job description

De Paul House provides housing and support services for whanau and seniors on Auckland's North Shore.

We are looking for a warm, organised, and proactive individual to join our team as a Receptionist / Administration Assistant.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and is happy to roll up their sleeves to help maintain a welcoming and tidy office environment.

About the role | Mo te tunga

Ensure a welcoming and safe environment at reception for all families, visitors, volunteers, and staff in person and over the phone at all times

Complete daily operational and administrative tasks, and as required, assist the Operations Manager

Provide administrative support for family support, tenancy, and volunteer teams (including but not limited to collecting and sorting donations etc)

Manage our social media platforms and ensure all queries online are answered in a timely manner

Support the planning and delivery of events (e.g. preparing materials, setting up spaces, liaising with suppliers)

Perform office cleaning duties

What you will bring | Nga pumanawatanga ou

2 years or more experience in administration and customer service

Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)

Previous experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Confidence and the ability to work with online platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Canva, LinkedIn)

Self-motivated and organised

The ability to work independently and be a team player

Handles pressure well

A clean full New Zealand driver's license
