Head of Teaching and Learning : Writer's Toolbox

About the role
We’re looking for a senior educational leader to join Writer’s Toolbox and be responsible for the educational integrity and successful implementation of the Writer’s Toolbox programme.
In this role you will lead, mentor, and set the strategy for our team of writing coaches and success managers, ensuring they provide exceptional support to our partner schools. This is a key leadership role, bridging our educational vision, product development, and commercial goals.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of writing coaches and success managers, setting their direction, building a collaborative culture, and leading all professional development for these roles.
- Ensure the teaching and learning strategy and programme content aligns with Writer's Toolbox vision, values and global curriculum standards.
- Drive commercial success, meeting retention and upsell targets and working closely with the sales team to secure new school partnerships.
- Oversee programme delivery in schools, from content and sequencing to evaluation and quality control.
- Lead a data-driven approach to decision making and success, proactively tracking and analysing school data, providing strategic plans and leading early interventions to ensure student and school success.
- Lead collaboration between customers and internal teams, acting as the key link, feeding back insights to internal teams.
- As a senior educational leader, represent Writer's Toolbox at sector events and engagements.
You will need to have
At least 10 years of proven senior educational leadership experience.Specialist curriculum knowledge in English, literacy and writing improvement, including primary and secondary literacy requirements.Commercial acumen, data-driven decision making and leadership approach and you're commercially savvy.Strategic thinking skills, using continuous feedback to inform programme strategy, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to new product development.Exceptional communication and leadership skills, capable of representing the company to school leaders.What we offer
