Overview
I am a 51 year old hemiplegic woman with a traumatic brain injury in a private residence on individualized funding in Christchurch city, near Hornby, seeking an on-call part-time permanent caregiver / support worker. Due to the personal nature of the tasks required, a mature woman is sought for this role to assist with activities that my physical disability prevents me from doing myself.
Tasks include showering, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry. Games are played for rehabilitation purposes after completion of primary tasks. Anticipated hours are 4 hours per shift, from 10 : 30 a.m.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care tasks as needed (showering, dressing).
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Support rehabilitation activities and physio exercises as directed.
- Engage in rehabilitation-friendly activities and games after primary tasks to aid recovery.
Qualifications and Requirements
