Platypus Shoes

is part of the Accent Group, the largest footwear group with over 850+ stores, 34 brands, and 30+ online platforms including Glue Store, Skechers, Vans, Dr. Martens, Timberland, UGG, Saucony, and Nude Lucy.

We are seeking passionate and experienced retail managers for our

Platypus

stores in

Tauranga

and

Mount Maunganui

If you have a strong background in retail operations, team leadership, and customer service, we want to hear from you!

This role involves leading, inspiring, and coaching a team of passionate casuals, including support from your Assistant Store Manager.

You will drive sales and KPIs, enhance customer engagement, and develop your team.

Collaborate with your Area Manager to identify opportunities for your store and team in a high-profile space.

The role & responsibilities include :

Ensuring efficient store operations to meet sales targets, KPIs, store presentation, visual merchandising, stock levels, wage control, and shrinkage

Motivating your team to achieve KPI and added value targets

Monitoring store sales to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets, recognizing outstanding results, and identifying missed opportunities

Managing wage costs in accordance with targets and rostering standards

Coaching and mentoring your team to maintain high morale and support their development through training and succession planning

Ensuring compliance with OH&S legislation and best practices

To be successful in this role, you will have :

At least 1 year of retail store management experience in a fast-paced environment

A motivated and driven 'Make it Happen' attitude

A passion for leading and inspiring teams

Strategic thinking skills to identify opportunities and drive sales and KPIs

Operational expertise in stock control and visual merchandising

Experience managing rosters and wage control
