Job DescriptionThe National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Associate in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) with affiliation to Global Center for Asian Women's Health (GloW), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Our interdisciplinary program is designed to foster scholars' professional development by working closely with national and international experts in multi-disciplinary areas such as nutrition, reproductive health, maternal and child health, endocrinology, behaviour intervention, healthy longevity and aging, biostatistics and epidemiology.
Appointments will be made on a 1 or 2-year contract basis in the first instance.Purpose of the PostThe Research Associate will coordinate research projects under Prof Zhang Cuilin, Director of the Global Centre for Asian Women's Health.
The Centre is research-intensive and involves global collaborations to advance women's health.
The Associate will provide administrative support so that projects run smoothly and meet milestone targets, working closely with Prof Zhang and various project stakeholders (e.g., PIs, RAs, clinics) to ensure successful project completion.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct study recruitment, answer general enquiries on study eligibility and provide informed consent in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) guidelines and the Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA).
Schedule study screening and follow-up visits.Perform study measurements, data and biological sample collection according to SOPs.Maintain regular communication with team members at different study sites.Support IRB application / administration and maintain Investigator Site File.Manage research study databases, including data queries.QualificationsMaster's degree, preferably with knowledge or experience in public health, medicine, and / or biology.Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.Takes initiative and possesses strong problem-solving skills, ability to multitask and perform independently.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strict integrity standards in handling confidential matters.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Tact, discretion and diplomacy to work with a diverse group from varying cultures.Well organized with good monitoring and follow-up skills within tight deadlines.Resourceful and comfortable in a fast-changing environment.Strong time-management and organization skills.LocationKent Ridge Campus, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology DepartmentRemunerationCommensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
