Job Description

We are looking for a part-time barista to join our friendly and professional retail team based at Holmwood road, Merivale.

Permanent, part-time, ongoing position

Rostered day shifts on Saturday & Monday

New exciting retail location

Tasks & Responsibilities

As the face of our retail business, it is important that you enjoy interacting with people.

Our customers love our products and the service we provide is definitely part of the package.

We are looking for someone who is confident and skilled as a barista to compliment this strong retail team.

The role will focus on ensuring coffee / drinks orders are constantly made to a high and efficient standard.

Regular tasks and duties will include :

Serving customers

Sharing knowledge of products with customers

Presenting products in an attractive manner

Working the till, doing cash up

Keeping the workplace clean and organised

Managing stock

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for :

experienced barista with solid coffee making skills

is friendly, well-presented and polite

is comfortable to work unsupervised

has good money handling skills

has strong verbal communication skills and a team spirit

ideally has some experience working in hospitality or a food business

shows strong attention to detail

thinks on their feet, is organised and keeps a cool head when things get busy

Note for this particular opportunity we are looking for someone who already has solid barista experience.

You must be able to demonstrate a high level of coffee making skills in your application.

You will be hitting the 'grind' running.

Interest in high-quality bread and pastries, sustainable food practices or local products will make us a great fit for you.
