The Opportunity

This Mechanical Service Technician position will be working in our Materials Handling Business Unit which has seen impressive growth in its servicing department, with predominant work to service large, automated chilling and freezing assets globally.

With an office based in Brisbane, it is possible that this position can be located anywhere within Australia or New Zealand due to the geographical spread of our customers. There will be an initial requirement for regular travel to the Brisbane office for familiarisation and training activities. The successful candidate will use their strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customer representatives, in this customer facing role. The Product Support Engineer will travel globally to perform scheduled maintenance, respond to emergency breakdowns, and ensure the optimal functioning of our equipment at client sites. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the expansion of this business area by identifying new service opportunities and coordinating with the Servicing and Sales teams. Ensuring the safety of our customers, their staff, and our team members is of paramount importance, and you will be expected to adopt best practices in all aspects of your work.

About You

Trade Certificate in either Fitting - Mechanical Technician, or Industrial Refrigeration Mechanic with at minimum one year’s post trade experience.

Experience in Chilling and Freezing and / or food processing equipment would be advantageous

Ability to systematically diagnose faults and provide well thought out solutions

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Be able to develop and maintain relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and customers

Be a pragmatic problem solver focused on finding solutions

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Be comfortable with technology.

Curiosity for knowledge and understanding drives your eagerness to learn from experienced team members.

Due to the nature of this role, and client’s industry you will be required to work up to 26 weekends a year away, some at short notice.

Ability to obtain visa entry into any country
